Summary
This week we will look at:
Six Secrets: Small Things with Oversized Returns
One Peer Group: Emotional Bungee Jumping
One Meme: What’s Missing from the Tool List?
Six “Secrets”
A few weeks ago I posted a short video of Michael Scott Wally Adamchik ordering Ice Cream for the job site as a way to boost morale and asked for LinkedIn to help crowdsource more industry “secret” small things you do (or have seen done) that make an oversized return. (The low-hanging fruit that no one picks.)
And I promised to compile a list of them in a future Construction Curiosities edition.
Well….
With no further teasing, here’s some of the best responses:
What would you add to the list??? Let us know!
One Peer Group
I think we’ve mentioned it on 2, maybe 3 different podcast episodes but my buddy Jesse Hernandez (from CM Mentors episode 21 fame) has been hosting an Emotional Bungee Jumpers peer group for most of this year. While I haven’t been a part of the official Jumpers group, Jesse did use Chris Gutkes and me as crash test dummies when he was testing out the program. I can say the exercises and the program are painfully awesome. It makes you uncomfortable in all the good ways.
If my day wasn’t filled to the brim with a day job, family, writing newsletters, making podcasts, and scouring the depths of the internet for the best memes for you all then I would most definitely be a regular in the group.
It is kinda hard to describe it without being present but here’s some of Jesse’s propaganda to explain:
Here’s a few other testimonials from my friends on the topic:
If that’s not enough to describe what it is about Jesse and Co. have included a demo of Emotional Bungee Jumpers on the top of webpage.
Want to learn more, watch the demo, and/ or ready to sign up for the group?
